This is one of my all time favorites so I thought it was only fitting to make it my first batch in the new keg. 1. Steeped .5lb Crushed Special-B Malt, .5lb Crushed Biscuit Malt, .5lb Crushed Aromatic Malt and .5lb Crushed CaraMunich Malt at 165F for 20 minutes. 2. Added all DME and started boil for 75 minutes. 3. Once boiling I added .5oz of Chinook hops for bittering. 4. 25 minutes in to the boil I added .5oz of Chinook hops for bittering. 5. 45 minutes in to the boil I added .5oz of Chinook hops for bittering. 6. 60 minutes in to the boil I added .5oz Chinook hops for bittering/aroma. 7. 65 minutes in to the boil I added 1 whirfloc tablet. 8. 70 minutes in to the boil I added 1oz Chinook hops for aroma. 9. Rapidly cooled wort to 70F 10. Wort transfered to primary fermenter for 7 days. 11. Transfered to secondary fermenter for 7 days. 8. Kegged and aged for 2-4 weeks. 9. Enjoy |
